Thank you so much for volunteering at a POA event – without you it wouldn’t be possible! Here are some top tips to prepare you for the day:
Before the day
- If you’re now unable to volunteer, please ask your year group to find a replacement.
- Please don’t cancel at the last minute (unless it’s an emergency 😊), as stalls may be cancelled.
- Download PayPal POS to take card payments. You’ll receive an email to activate it (may go to your junk mail). It’s super easy!
On the day
- Arrive 15 mins before to get familiar with your stall (and prevent volunteers from worrying they have no one to pass onto!)
- Games will have (simple!) instructions.
- People can pay cash or card (£1 minimum on card). Please keep your stall’s cash float safe (with the lid on when not in use).
- The POA Team are easy to spot – look out for purple t-shirts! We’re friendly and knowledgable (but may be slightly frazzled!)

- Water stations: at cafe
- Toilets: adults use Staff toilet. Children use other
- First Aiders: Steph Warner, Hannah Clarke, Donna Wenham and Vicky Pateman. They’ll be wearing a POA t-shirt.
