Thank you so much for volunteering at a POA event – without you it wouldn’t be possible! Here are some top tips to prepare you for the day:
Very important info before the day
- We rely completely on volunteers. If you’re now unable to volunteer, please contact your year group via WhatsApp ASAP to allow time to organise a replacement.
- Please don’t cancel at the last minute (unless it’s an emergency 😊), as stalls may be cancelled.
- Download PayPal POS to take card payments. You’ll receive an email to activate it (may go to your junk mail). It’s super easy! Please do this AHEAD of arriving to the Fair.
Very important info on the day
- Arrive 10 mins before to get familiar with your stall (and prevent volunteers from worrying they have no one to pass onto!)
- Games will have (simple!) instructions.
- People can pay cash or card (£1 minimum on card). Please keep your stall’s cash float safe (with the lid on when not in use).
- The POA Team are easy to spot – look out for purple t-shirts! We’re friendly and knowledgable (but may be slightly frazzled!)

- Water station: at cafe
- Toilets: adults use disabled toilet. Children use year 6 toilets (see map)
- First Aiders: Steph Warner, Hannah Clarke, and Vicky Pateman. They’ll be wearing a POA t-shirt.
